EXHIBI.TO

34 galleries, a week of exhibitions in Turin, 21 – 28 September 2020

Daniele Galliano’s photographic painting in “Una pazza happiness” continues to probe and explore the crowd, the collective sphere of a ritual, the pleasure of abandoning oneself and immersing oneself in nature. The protagonists move and float in the blue of the sea or let themselves be lapped by steaming waterfalls, gathered in small groups or isolated. Intimately stolen portraits, landscapes, glimpses from photo albums that seem to be inspired by the memory of each of us.

In Daniele Galliano’s personal exhibition at the gallery metroquadro , works of his recent production are presented together with the last two pictorial series, ‘Una Pazza Felicità’ and ‘Let’s Go’, produced in 2019 and previewed at the ArtMiami and Artefiera Bologna fairs, thus resuming the project with the gallery planned for 2019, interrupted by the health emergency.

Daniele Galliano was born in Pinerolo, Torino, in 1961. Self-taught, he began exhibiting in Turin, where he lives and works, quickly gaining a prominent position in the Italian pictorial panorama in the early 90s.
In 2006 he participated in the Ninth Biennial of Havana, in 2009 at the 53
at the Venice Biennale and in 2016 at the third edition of the Kochi-Muziris Biennale, in Kerala.

His works, exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Italy and abroad, are part of international, public and private collections.
In recent years he has collaborated with various musicians, directors and writers.
In 2015 Skira editore published a monograph on his work.
