MEL BOCHNER (Pittsburgh 1940), in 1966 in New York, organized what would be called the first conceptual art exhibition in history.
His work has always been focusing on language, its meaning, and its representation.
He boasts an endless series of exhibitions in private galleries and is in the permanent collections of MET, MoMA and Whitney Museum in New York, Tate Modern in London, National Gallery in Washington, DC, MOCA in Los Angeles.
Metroquadro has been presenting Mel Bochner’s monoprints in Italy since 2009, when the artist began their production.
In this his fifth solo exhibition at the gallery, the latest works, which have now become iconic, are on display.
