LIGHTS AND RECYCLED MATERIALS

Light and recycled materials, small colored glass containers, painted Coca bottles and computer screens, are some of the elements that make up the expressive universe of Achille De Lucis, a research developed over time and now present at the Metroquadro Arte Contemporanea in Rivoli. website link .
A meeting, therefore, between technology and reflection on the aspects of current visual culture, in a dimension capable of evoking the image of “Grace” and the sequence “CD Colored 2”, which express the sense of an experience linked to acrylic colors, to plastic and foam rubber, led light.
Achille De Lucis’ search goes beyond geometric structures, to the measured and controlled rendering of the subject to draw attention to what it is possible to recover, and transform, from industrial waste, electronic equipment and plastic objects.
The result is the formulation of a new identity of representation, which in the photos on Plexiglas and on the graffiti walls becomes dialogue and relationship with reality.
