Through photography, video and installation, Dario Neira’s works are often articulated around the use of language, the development of words and phrases that investigate the human being and his moods in a sort of textual celebration in which art, science and the sacred converge.<\/p>\n
The use of biotechnology is for Neira a functional means of expressing ideas, since only in part in his works does the medium coincide with the subject of the investigation.<\/p>\n
The artist has practical knowledge of the biomedical and psychoanalytic world from which he draws to formulate propositions: words, in English, that make short statements, terse declarations that seem like replies to a communicated urgency of all that is suffocating and unexpressed within the human body.<\/p>\n
